We consider it a privilege to provide a secure and nurturing environment for children where Biblical truths are taught as a foundation for salvation and Christian living. Because teachers are role models and children are so impressionable, we require that our volunteers meet the criteria listed below:
Must be a born-again Christian
Must consistently attend a Lifegroup
Must be actively pursuing a relationship with Jesus
Must be abstinent from drugs, alcohol or sexual addictions for at least 6 months
Must never have been convicted of sexual abuse of a child
Must not be living with another outside the biblical instruction of marriage
Must wear clothing that is appropriate to working with children
Must consistently attend a Sunday service at Antioch Community Church
As a member of our Antioch Kids Team we ask that you take special consideration in what you wear each time you serve, ensuring that your appearance is not a distraction from our primary goal— children encountering God! That being said, we ask for no tongue rings, waist/stomach to be fully covered, and clothing must not smell like smoke. We also ask that women do not wear dresses or shorts so that they are able to successfully get on the floor and play with the children without worrying. Maxi dresses are acceptable.
