WHAT ARE COHORTS?

Discipleship Cohorts are small, intentional groups designed to help you grow in your faith, deepen your relationship with God, and develop lifelong habits of spiritual discipline. Each cohort consists of 3-5 members led by a trained Cohort Leader who will guide you through this transformational journey.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

WEEKLY COHORT MEETINGS

Gather with your group for 1-2 hours each week to reflect, share, and grow together. These consistent times of fellowship help build trust, accountability, and a sense of shared purpose as you journey through discipleship.

ACCOUNTABILITY & PRAYER

Encourage one another, pray together, and stay committed to your spiritual growth. This mutual support creates a safe space to share struggles, celebrate victories, and seek God together.

HEAR THE SPIRIT IN THE WORD

Develop the ability to discern the Holy Spirit’s voice by meditating on Scripture. You’ll learn how to let God’s Word guide your decisions, comfort your heart, and reveal His will for your life.

BIBLE READING PLAN

Follow a guided plan to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and stay spiritually nourished. This plan ensures you’re grounded in Scripture, helping you develop the habit of regularly engaging with the Bible.

MENTORSHIP FROM COHORT LEADER

Be mentored by a leader who will encourage, challenge, and support you throughout the journey. Your leader will model what it looks like to follow Jesus and help you navigate your spiritual growth.

GO AND DO LIKEWISE…

Gain practical tools and experience to disciple others using this cohort model. By the end of your journey, you’ll feel equipped and confident to replicate this process, helping others grow in their faith and live out the Great Commission.

  • You’ll be paired with a leader and a group of members intentionally chosen to reflect a diversity of ages and levels of spiritual maturity. This variety keeps the journey fresh and dynamic, allowing everyone to benefit from different perspectives, experiences, and insights as you grow together in Christ.

  • Cohorts meet weekly for 1-2 hours. Members are expected to follow a Bible reading plan and fully engage in the process. This journey requires dedication, but the rewards are eternal. Members will be challenged to apply what they have learned from the Bible to their daily lives.

  • Experience the joy of growth as you build deeper relationships with God and others all while journeying through the Bible together, allowing the Word of God to form you.

Do you have a heart for guiding others in their walk with Christ? Leading a Discipleship Cohort is an incredible opportunity to mentor, inspire, and walk alongside others as they grow in their faith. Cohort Leaders set the tone, foster community, and help members hear from God and apply His Word in their lives.

  • Discipleship is the intentional process of growing in your relationship with Jesus, learning to follow His teachings, and helping others do the same. It’s about becoming more like Christ in every area of life and living out your faith in a way that impacts those around you.

  • The cohort structure provides a small, close-knit environment where relationships can thrive, and accountability can be personal. With 3-5 members per group, everyone has the opportunity to participate, share, and grow without feeling lost in a crowd. This structure mirrors the way Jesus discipled His followers—through intentional, life-on-life community.

  • Each cohort will meet weekly for about 90 minutes, and members are encouraged and expected to spend time daily in Scripture.

  • That’s why this exist! Cohorts are a safe place to learn and grow. Your Cohort Leader will guide you, and together as a group, you’ll explore Scripture and build a deeper understanding. You don’t need to be a Bible expert—just come with a willingness to learn and grow.

  • Cohort Leaders are mature, trusted members of our church who have been trained to guide and disciple others. They’re here to support, challenge, and encourage you on your journey.

  • Life happens, and we understand that. However, we encourage you to prioritize cohort meetings as much as possible to fully benefit from the experience. If you know you’ll miss a meeting, let your Cohort Leader know in advance.

    If frequent absences occur, your Cohort Leader may have a conversation with you to discern whether this is the right season for you to continue in the cohort.

  • Currently, each Discipleship Cohort runs for one semester. This time frame allows for significant growth while also being a manageable commitments.

  • We will prayerfully and intentionally match members to groups based on same gender as well as a variety of spiritual maturity and age. Our goal here is actually to provide variety and diversity in life-stage and maturity. We believe this will keep the groups fresh and exciting.

  • You don’t have to have it all together to join a cohort. Cohorts are for anyone willing to grow, learn, and be challenged. God meets us where we are, and this is a space to grow closer to Him alongside others.
